It's Always a Good Time To Be Kind

I thought I’d pop after a very long break, for a quick minute to say hello, and share with you something I’ve been thinking about a lot. Kindness.

Unfortunately we’re not seeing a lot of that in our news, on our phones, and often in our daily lives.

But… hope is not lost. Why, you may ask? Because kindness starts with each one of us. We get to choose who we want to be every day. We can share small acts of kindness as we do errands, at work, at the gym… And one of the best things about kindness? It’s contagious in the best possible way.

Not sure where to start? Here are just a few ideas:

Hold the door for the person behind you

Let someone go ahead of you in line at the store

Compliment a stranger - I do this every day!

Send a quick text to check in on a friend or family member

Smile at people, even if you don’t know them

Pay for the person behind you at your local coffee shop

Donate gently used clothes or household items

Leave a positive review for a local business you love

Offer to take someone’s photo if you see them struggling with selfies - I live in a tourist area and do this a lot!

Help someone who is older, or seems in need by putting their groceries in their car, reaching for an item they can’t reach, unload their cart at check-out

Return shopping carts left in parking lots

Thank people for the work they do. I often thank people stocking shelves and in the dairy section of my grocery store. I chat with them whenever I shop. All too often people in the service industry are treated as invisible.

Anyone can perform acts of kindness. You don’t have to be rich, have a position of power, or be anything but you. And I guarantee you that doing something kind for someone else will make you feel so good that you’ll want to do it more!

We’re living in stressful times. You’ll be amazed how much better it will make you feel to be kind. Try it!

Stay kind everyone ❤️
