Coaching

In the early aughts, I hired my first life coach. I was in the midst of a divorce, was raising three children, and after having been a stay-at-home mom for most of my adult life, was dealing with the ultimate, “What next?” trauma. I was pretty lost.

But then something happened, and with the help of my coach, step by step I took control. I stopped feeling like a victim, and I began to get excited about my life. With someone supporting me and holding my feet to the fire, I began to move past the fear and hurt I was mired in and saw that I was truly the boss of my life.

Inspired by my experience with coaching I decided to go through the training myself. I spent two years studying and doing practicum work and loved every minute of it. I found my niche in working with people in transition - something I knew a bit about.

We all have things that hold us back, and we can all be our worst enemies. What a coach can do is not allow you to procrastinate, self-sabotage and stop yourself before you even get started. As your coach, I will help you set goals and hold you accountable. We all need support and we could all use a cheerleader. Nothing brings me more pleasure than supporting people as they fulfill their dreams. We can all do more when we’ve got a support system behind us.

I usually work with clients once a week during a 50-minute session. The wonderful thing about coaching is we can do it in person, but also on the phone., or via Zoom. My first coach lived in Hawaii! So even if you don’t live on Cape Cod we can work together.

During the session we will talk about what you’ve done during the week, if you met your goals, if not, why, and what we can do to keep you moving forward to reach your goals.

I offer a free introductory session to see if coaching is right for you, and after that, we can move forward or not. To be clear, coaching is not therapy, and I don’t have the training to deal with mental health issues. For that, I would direct you to find a reputable therapist to work with.
